• Why Chai Point?

Chai Point Senior Living is located on North Prospect Avenue, in a luxury high rise overlooking Lake Michigan. It’s in the center of Milwaukee’s Jewish cultural and community activities and adjacent to the Jewish Home and Care Center.

Chai Point recognizes that each resident is an individual with unique goals and capabilities. Independent living is ideal at Chai Point, where you are steps away or a bus ride away from everything the urban lifestyle has to offer.

We offer a wide variety of programs to help keep your mind, body and spirit active. Programs include live musical performances from local, national and international performers. Evenings at the symphony, opera and musicals are also scheduled throughout the year.

Guest lecturers from our local universities speak on a wide variety of topics ranging from world and national politics and the global economy to health and legal issues. Trips to museums and shopping are regular events.

Play cards with your friends, attend a book club meeting, or participate in planning a special celebration. We offer classes on yoga, Tai Chi, exercise programs for all fitness levels, plus so much more.

Visit our Activities Center for more information about our community activities.

Chai Point offers luxury Independent Living apartments as well as Assisted Living services that are designed to provide the support that is needed to maintain the independence each resident wants. Individualized care programs provide services tailored for each individual. Chai Point is a leader in providing services for residents, whether they have short-term needs or require support for a longer duration.

Residents may choose from two options in assisted living:

  • Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF), on the second and third floors (studio and one bedroom apartments) which includes all your nursing services, three meals a day, housekeeping and more.
  • Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC), on the fourth through tenth floors, (one-, two- and three bedroom apartments) which offers an á la carte choice of assisted living services. Our Assisted Living licensure offers up to 28 hours per week of combined nursing services to meet the needs of individuals who may require assistance with their activities of daily living. Our nurse-manager will do an assessment and help you decide which option is more appropriate for you.

We adjoin the Jewish Home and Care Center, which offers Skilled Nursing services. Between the two facilities, we can accommodate virtually any level of care one may require. As your needs change, you’ll always have a place at Chai Point or the Jewish Home and Care Center.

The Helen Bader Center, located in the Jewish Home and Care Center, offers a stimulating, safe and secure environment for individuals who are challenged with mild, moderate and advanced stages of dementia and memory impairment.

We offer a wide range of living and pricing options to suit virtually any budget. Chai Point also accepts Family Care and Community Care. Unlike many other senior housing communities, we do not require anyone to pay a large entrance fee up front--the only money you will need to put up front is a deposit equal to one month’s rent, period.

Located in the center of Jewish cultural and community activities, you're right where you want to be. Choose a studio, one-, two- or three -bedroom apartment from a variety of floor plans.

Included in the rent are ALL utilities: gas, electric, water and air conditioning. Also included are an individual storage locker, private USPS mail box, maintenance of apartment and grounds, social activities, regular shopping excursions, educational seminars, musical entertainment and galas, religious services, 24-hour security service, 24-hour emergency response system, concierge service, access to a social worker and wellness clinic and regularly scheduled health screenings.

Residents may choose from fine dining in our elegant main dining room overlooking Lake Michigan or the Rubenstein Family Kosher Oasis, Milwaukee’s only Kosher restaurant with table service.

Chai Point places a strong emphasis on the physical fitness of our residents. We offer exercise classes, a wide variety of exercise equipment and an indoor swimming pool for year-round enjoyment.

Chai Point has its own bus with a certified driver, providing transportation to many sponsored events, including regular shopping trips, and is always free to our residents. Also, our concierge service will be happy to arrange local taxi service for you.

Pastoral Director Rabbi Steven Adams oversees the ongoing blending of Shabbat and Jewish holiday observance and life cycle celebrations into daily campus life. Chai Point follows kosher dietary traditions. Non-kosher foods may be enjoyed in the residents’ apartments and the Private Dining Room, which can be reserved at no charge for family celebrations or other use. We regularly invite religious and spiritual community leaders to participate in programming, which may include Shabbat services, Friday night dinners, holiday observances, guest lecturers, music and much more.
